SUMMARY 
The 2nd Shift Production Supervisor will oversee the activities, production, and schedule of the 2nd shift. This position will ensure all product is packed safely and efficiently and maintain a sanitary environment which meets all food safety regulations. Will assist in the hiring process, and train, set responsibilities / standards, supervise, and evaluate production operators. Will jump in and assist the team on a daily basis with production. General hours are 12:30pm-9:00pm, overtime and weekend work may be required.  
 
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES 
  • Ensures effective and efficient daily sanitation of our packaging lines by troubleshooting issues for the CIP and Sterilization process 
  • Sets expectations and establishes processes with 2nd shift Packaging Operators
  • Trains employees on new and existing sanitation processes
  • Fills in on the packaging lines in an operational role and performs cleaning and run CIP/Sanitization processes when needed if operators are absent 
  • Ensures that each production line is ready for the next shift’s production run, with primary focus on equipment cleanliness, machine setup, and materials staging
  • Supervises and assists with the completion of production runs, including the keg line, bottle line, and can line as needed
  • Schedules daily material delivery, closes/releases production batch, collects PKG line startup sheets, and ensures time card accuracy for 2nd shift personnel
  • Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations, including annual reviews for the 2nd Shift Packaging Operators
  • Performs other duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience required
  • Knowledge of CIP/SIP procedures required; 2 years experience required in food and beverage manufacturing
  • Knowledge of caustic, acid, industrial cleaning chemicals, etc. required
  • Knowledge of the brewing and packaging process and equipment is considered highly valuable
  • Ability to quickly assess the status of operations and troubleshoot processes
  • Expert level understanding of packaging equipment is strongly desired
  • Expert level skills working with automated processes interface is strongly desired 
  • Expert level forklift driving skills in a small work area is strongly desired
